Projet de stage : Rapamycin is an antibiotic that is used as an immunosuppressant and anticancer. The target of rapamycin mTOR is a protein kinase that controls growth, proliferation and metabolism in all eukaryotic cells. mTOR exists in the cell in two distinct complexes, mTORC1 and mTORC2, which respectively activate S6 kinases and Akt kinases. The student will characterize two models of liver growth during regeneration and tumor development. Preliminary data indicate distinct functions of two complex mTORC during these growth processes. The goal is to define the mTOR-dependent alterations of cell cycle and metabolism.

Techniques mises en œuvre par le stagiaire : Transduction by viral vectors, primary cultures, western, QRTPCR, genotyping, phenotyping of genetically modified mice.
